The full version of Office 2008 for Mac (Standard Edition) runs just under $400 with the upgrade going for $240. Thirty days is a decent amount of time to test out a productivity suite, too, so you should be able to get a feel for all the changes since the last version of Mac Office. This means that if you decide you like Office 2008, you can upgrade directly to the Home & Student Edition or Standard Edition, and you can do so via download or from a local retailer. Microsoft's Mac BU made the fully-functional trial available on its website today, noting that the trial version is convertible to a full version of the product at any time. Those who want to try out Office 2008 for Mac but don't want to fork over hundreds of dollars just yet can now use a 30-day trial of the software.
